چکیده
Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vanillae (Fov) is the main phytosanitary problem of Vanilla planifolia, invading root and causing rotting up to 80% plants. The histological process used study morphological characteristics tissues interest published a protocol check Fov-V. planifolia interaction that was not reproducible under our conditions, so aimed adapt procedure allows differential analysis mechanism Fov invasion in V. by confocal microscopy. bioassays consisted analyzing Fov-infected roots. experimental design three replicates evaluated at 12, 24, 36, 48, 60 72 hours post-inoculation. Roots without inoculum were as controls. samples fixed paraformaldehyde 4% sucrose (PBS). Subsequently, dehydrated combination alcohols different concentrations. cuts made with microtome. sections observed Leica microscope 63X objective ap. No. 1.4, plus immersion oil; excitation lines: 405, 488, 532. FAA + kerosene method allowed complete tissue sections. Keywords: Fusariosis, Vanilla, interaction.

Differential Responses of Vanilla Accessions to Root Rot and Colonization by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-vanillae
Root and stem rot (RSR) disease caused by Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. radicis-vanillae (Forv) is the most damaging disease of vanilla (Vanilla planifolia and V. × tahitensis, Orchidaceae). Breeding programs aimed at developing resistant vanilla varieties are hampered by the scarcity of sources of resistance to RSR and insufficient knowledge about the histopathology of Forv. In this work we have (...
متن کاملBiocontrol of Fusarium Wilt of Vanilla (vanilla Planifolia) Using Combined Inoculation of Trichoderma Sp. and Pseudomonas Sp
Fungal pathogens pose a major problem in causing reduction in yield of vanilla crop to considerable level. Fusarium oxysporum, was isolated from naturally infected vanilla plants and an attempt was made to minimize the damage caused by the pathogen using biocontrol agents Trichoderma harzianum, and Pseudomonas fluorescens isolated from soil. The combined inoculation of Trichoderma harzianum wit...
متن کاملInteraction of Population Levels of Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum and Meloidogyne incognita on Cotton.
In autoclaved greenhouse soil without Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. vasinfectum, Meloidogyne incognita did not cause leaf or vascular discoloration of 59-day-old cotton plants. Plants had root galls with as few as 50 Meloidogyne larvae per plant. Root galling was directly proportional to the initial nematode population level. Fusarium wilt symptoms occurred without nematodes with 77,000 fungus prop...
متن کاملInteraction between Meloidogyne incognita and Agrobacterium tumefaciens or Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici on Tomato.
Agrobacterium tumefaciens stimulated and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. lycopersici inhibited development and reproduction of Meloidogyne incognita when applied to the opposite split root of tomato, Lycopersicon esculentum cv. Tropic, plants. The lowest rate of nematode reproduction occurred after 2,000 juveniles were applied and the fungus was present in the opposite split root. The effects of all ...
متن کاملInteraction between Meloidogyne incognita and Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. phaseoli on Selected Bean Genotypes.
Four bean genotypes (IPA-1, A-107, A-211, and Calima), representing all possible combinations of resistance and susceptibility to Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. phaseoli (Fop) and Meloidogyne incognita, were each inoculated with three population densities of these pathogens. Calima and A-107 were resistant to Fop; A-107 and A-211 were resistant to M. incognita; and IPA-1 was susceptible to both path...
